Cookie Policy

Auth cookies to stay signed in. Vercel Analytics without a tracking cookie. Stripe cookies only on Stripe's checkout.

    Short version

    We set cookies so you can stay signed in after a magic link. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not set a tracking cookie. Paying happens on Stripe-hosted pages, under Stripe cookies. No ads, no extra marketing pixels.

    Essential cookies

    When you complete a magic link, Supabase Auth stores a session on this site (typically cookies named like sb-<project>-auth-token). Those cookies are needed for the dashboard and project pages. Without them you cannot stay logged in. They are first-party.

    Vercel, as the host, may also set strictly necessary cookies to deliver the site.

    Analytics (no tracking cookie)

    We load @vercel/analytics on every page. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. Visitors are counted with a hash of the incoming request that resets each day. It is not a cross-site advertising ID.

    What it typically records: page path, referrer, browser / OS, and coarse geography. It is there so we can see whether anyone uses the product, not to build a profile of you. Details live in Vercel analytics privacy notes.

    Because it does not set a cookie, we do not show a cookie banner for it today. It still processes usage data. If you want it off for your visits, email support@hackymacky.vercel.app and we will work out an opt-out.

    Stripe

    Checkout and the billing portal run on Stripe. We do not set Stripe cookies ourselves. When you open those pages, Stripe cookies and privacy policies apply.

    How to control cookies

    Your browser can block or delete cookies. If you block essential auth cookies, sign-in will not stick. We do not use advertising cookies you would toggle in a banner.

    Scan data (URLs, fingerprints, and so on) is not a cookie. That is covered in the Privacy Policy.
